The short version
LockedIn keeps your projects, focus sessions, tasks and notes on your device and, once you sign in with Apple, in your LockedIn account so your devices stay in sync. There are no ads, no analytics and no trackers, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing.
What stays on your device
Projects, sessions, tasks, notes and settings live in a database inside the app. If you allow calendar access, LockedIn reads today's events from the Calendar app to build your Morning Brief; events are never uploaded. On the Mac, LockedIn can note which app is in front (for example Xcode) to show what you are working on; that also stays on your Mac.
Your account and sync
LockedIn accounts use Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, your projects, sessions, tasks, settings and any wallpaper you upload are synced through our database provider, Supabase, so they appear on your other devices. Each account can only read its own data. Apple may give us a private relay email address, which we use only to identify your account.
Friends, leaderboards and challenges
These stay off until you choose a username. After that, people you connect with can see your username, whether you are focusing, the name of the project you are on, and your focus totals. You appear on public leaderboards only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time in Settings.
Lofi player
The optional lofi player on the Mac streams from YouTube in its privacy enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube's own privacy policy covers what it plays.
Beta testing
If you test LockedIn through TestFlight, Apple shares crash reports, basic device details and any feedback you send with us under Apple's TestFlight terms. We use this only to fix and improve the app.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. To delete a synced account and everything attached to it, email macbobbychibuzor@icloud.com and include your LockedIn username or the email address Apple shows for your account. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
Children
LockedIn is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
